This Monday, 1 – 4 pm > Family History Research. Book a one-hour session. £5 includes museum gallery admission (each one hour session is £3 for “Friends” of the Museum).
Our dedicated volunteer/s, will be on hand today to offer assistance for people embarking on family history research or who need help with a particular area they are already investigating during a one hour session.
Although our volunteers will have access to software applications and often have specialist local knowledge and access to museum archive information, it would be most helpful if you could bring any information you have already gathered with you. All individual, specific and personal information received or provided is treated as confidential to that one hour session.
It is essential that you book your one hour session in advance. We offer 3 one hour sessions:-
1 to 2 pm or
2 to 3 pm or
3 to 4 pm
Please inform reception when you arrive and you will then be guided through your search and the use of our computerised facilities in gallery three. You will also be free to view all the collections in all the museum galleries at your leisure.
Drop in sessions may not be possible today since this facility is often fully booked so it would be best to telephone in advance if you were thinking of just dropping in.
Our address is Saddleworth Museum & Gallery, High Street, Uppermill Ol3 6HS. The museum is open 1 – 4 pm daily and you could book in advance at the museum reception or you could telephone 01457 874093 or email curator@saddleworthmuseum.co.uk
